Dr. King is a pediatric and young adult hematologist and implementation scientist focused on improving care of people with sickle cell disease. As Director of the young adult transition program within St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Barnes Hospital and Christian Northwest Hospital at Washington University School of Medicine, she leads a team that has been active in research, clinical programming, and education around the transition of care. She has been both a Principal Investigator and collaborator on studies involving the measurement of cognition, educational attainment and academic performance of students with sickle cell disease.

Allison King, MD, MPH, PhD served as a Non-CE Consultant for Express Scripts and has done Contract Research for Global Blood Therapeutics WUGEN.
